2008 was a busy year for KELLY Founder and Chairman Frank Kelly Jr. and his wife, Janet, and for KELLY CEO Frank Kelly III and his wife, Gayle, but both couples made time for philanthropic activities. Frank & Janet Kelly were the event chairs of the “Aspire Gala” benefitting the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, which raised $1.5 million, and Frank & Gayle Kelly chaired the “Festival of Trees” benefiting the Kennedy Krieger Institute, which raised almost $900,000. Both events were on the 2010 Baltimore Business Journal’s list of “Largest fundraisers in the Baltimore Area,” ranking 5th and 6th on the list respectively.
