We are excited to announce our newest publication, the third in a series dedicated to health care trends and wellness produced by KELLY, is set for release this Fall. The KELLY Beyond Benefits – Wellness Trend Report recommends a benefit approach that is based on wellness, one that is truly beneficial for both employers and their employees. Proposing, for once, an approach to benefits that helps attract and retain employees because it preserves health before it ever goes away.

A small sampling of the intriguing facts included in Beyond Benefits:

• Consumer spending for drugs is expected to grow by $100 billion between 2006 and 2010. However, three of the top five drug categories are for largely preventable conditions.
• We spend more in health care than in any other sector of our economy. But we’re far down the list of world life expectancy, just ahead of Cuba.
• According to Robert A. Weinberg, PhD., Professor for Cancer Research at MIT, if people lost weight, exercised regularly, avoided diets rich in red meats, ate diets that emphasize fruits and vegetables, and stopped using tobacco, 70% of all cancers could be prevented.
